Our mission is to share with you the fruits of our labours in attempting to win money through betting on British horse-racing. On this page we will explain in a nutshell what sort of methods we use and what sort of bets these produce.
The Selection Procedure
We have tried many different systems over the years. Some are good, some spectacularly bad. But we found that they all have one thing in common - inflexibility. The problem is, each horse race is different in lots of ways so it doesn't make sense to always apply the same strict rules .
Eventually we found that the combination of a strict method of study combined with experienced and flexible analysis of the data produced the best results, especially when confined to certain types of race. We then convert our analysis to a numerical rating which we use to find the likely winner.
The Bets
Because each race is different, we use the results of our analysis in different ways depending on the price of the horse - from backing one horse to up to four horses per race, win or each-way, and even backing to lose (laying). The sole objective is to make a profit in the long run. However, how you use the ratings will depend on your style of betting.
The Bank
It is ABSOLUTELY VITAL that money is put aside for the purpose of betting (the betting bank) and that you can afford to lose this money. This bank is best spread between various online bookmakers/betting exchanges to more easily obtain the best early prices. We recommend one point to be roughly 2% of the total bank (although this can only be a rough guide when backing more than one horse in a race, or laying).
