SnowChefsSatsumaTrish entered two classes at Hospitality 2007, Salon Culinaire at the NEC, Birmingham. Trish won a silver medal for her decorated celebration cake "Snow Chefs" (left) but only a merit for her novelty cake "Satsuma" (right). Trish was disappointed to recieve only a merit for her novelty cake; especially as it was very popular with the public. So popular, that someone took the segment at the front as a souvenir!

GargoyleTrish intended to enter two classes at Le Salon Culinaire 2004 at Excel in London; but, because of the upheaval caused by moving house, she was only able to enter the novelty cake competition. Trish won a second silver medal for her novelty cake "Lecherous Gargoyleous". Apparently, her entry was very popular with visitors to the exhibit.

DragonPolar Bear SkiingMaskWedding CakeTrish collected 3 awards at Cake 2003. A silver and 3rd place with her Sculpted Cake entry - "Polar Bear Skiing". The marzipan "Pewter Dragon" achieved only a merit. The dragon would have achieved gold had it been plain marzipan and not coloured to look like a pewter figure. The "Mask" scored only a merit because it was too artistic rather than novelty. The Wedding Cake entry was not rated because it used embossing; even though one judge considered it worthy of a gold. Some tips for anyone thinking of entering future competitions.

Seaside SauceReindeers in BedTrish collected 2 awards at Cake 2002. A silver and 3rd place with her Novelty Cake entry "Seaside Sauce". She received a bronze award for her Christmas Celebration entry "Reindeers in Bed"; but was told she would have achieved a better result had she entered it as a novelty cake.

CruellaTrish entered two classes at Le Salon Culinaire 2002 at Earls Court in London; where she won a silver medal for her novelty cake "Cruella".

Trish entered four classes at Cake 2001 at the NEC, Birmingham (UK); where she achieved one silver, two bronzes and a certificate of merit.
