Formed in 1997, Rebel Truce has one mission. To fully recreate the experience of The Clash live on stage.
The Clash were one of the most influential and enduring bands to burst from the Punk rock scene of 1977, with the late Joe Strummer revered as one the greatest front men in rock. They had the look, the walk and the talk. They were the coolest, most political, eclectic and thrilling; mixing reggae, soul and funk with solid r’n’r … to many the last great UK hope and for seven years they set the agenda. Their music still remains hugely popular with stalwart fans and new generations of music lovers alike.
Though not a “look alike” band in the fullest sense, Rebel Truce have the visual style and excitement of the Clash, and the same explosive, all action stage presence, with front man Jerry in particular delivering an adrenalin fuelled, foot stomping performance that has won over even the most sceptical Clash fans.
With a repertoire of some 50 songs ranging from the incendiary blast of “1977” to the assured swagger of “London Calling” to the pop sensibilities of “Should I stay or should I go” Rebel Truce is a must see, not only for fans of the Clash, but for all lovers of live rock ‘n roll.

Some comments about Rebel Truce. (Taken from www.myspace.com/therebeltruce)
"Just like to say I saw your performance at the above mentioned venue and having
seen the real Clash back in 79, your performance was excellent, a fitting
tribute to the legends."
"We were totally blown away with your performance and everybody I talk to at the
gig felt the same, so we hope you can come back soon, we will be spreading the
word."
“WOW! I've been playing music for
so long now, and I've been a clash fan and a record collector since forever and
there's one thing I know: Covering the Clash is a hard task. Most people fail.
Even those huge bands who dared to cover the Clash failed miserably, even bands
I love were pretty bad at it...
You guys understood everything, the heart and the mind - Passion is a
fashion.
Your cover of White Man is far from being a black and white Xerox of the
original, like tribute bands always do. Not only did you keep the structure
unchanged, but you kept the spirit alive! So much respect. Can’t wait to hear
more”.
"You guys are f****** amazing,
I been learning Clash bass lines I always wanted to
learn, London Calling and Police and Thieves, the 2 most complicated but I had
to crack em so
I did last night just for the hell of it! Took a few
hours me being only a bedroom musician!"
“The closest you’re gonna get without a time machine”
