Seven of the images on this page are from photographs that I took in the 1980s - the remainder were taken on 20th July 2002.

The image to the left is of Belfast’s Albert Clock as it appeared in the 1980s. Run your mouse over the image and you should see the clock as it appears now (after extensive repair work).
The image to the right is of a statue of Lord Kelvin (William Thomson), born on 24/6/1824 in Belfast (died 17/12/1907 in Netherhall, near Largs, Ayrshire) - erected in Belfast’s Botannical Gardens. Famed for his work on thermo-dynamics; electricity and magnetism; the transatlantic cable - and numerous other achievements.
