    South Downs Branch

Organisation Membership Programme More about us

Welcome to the South Downs Branch of the Society of Recorder Players.

South Downs Recorder Players Branch was inaugurated in 1996. Since then increased number of players (including more conductors) has enabled two player groups for the first part of each meeting, making it easier to satisfy players of widely different playing ability, and encourage less experienced players to join us. To retain Branch cohesion we always come together for our tea-break/chat and a united playing session.

We meet monthly from September to June, usually on the 4th Saturday 2:00- 5:00 pm at the Seaford Volunteer Association, St. James's Hall, Blatchington Road, Seaford, East Sussex BN25 2AB. Our players come from many areas of East and West Sussex and even beyond. If you would like to spend an afternoon playing recorders in a friendly group you will be very welcome. We play a wide range of music, from early to modern - see our Programme page for the current season's selection. For more information and travel directions (google map type in Blatchington Road, Seaford) please contact the Secretary (e:mail: sdowns@srp.org.uk)
