Guest Conductors

Thanks to the generous gift of their time and effort by so many SRP Conductors the list grows - Diana Reddaway, Helen Hooker, Paul Clark, Moira Usher, Caroline Jones, Rosemary Robinson and Andrew Collis have all given us most enjoyable and stimulating afternoon Branch meetings and morning workshops.
We encourage members to take advantage of the playing opportunities available further afield and branch has recently been represented at:

Death of Michael Uridge

It is with great sadness that we report the sudden death on 1 st June 2006 of our Musical Director and Conductor Mike Uridge.

Mike agreed to come to what was then the Seaford Recorder Group over twelve years ago and during all those years gave so generously of his time, effort and musical knowledge into helping us build the Group into a thriving Branch of the SRP.

We shall greatly miss Mike not only for his work as a Conductor and adviser but also for his unfailing patience and good humour and as the friend he had become to us all.

• Dec 01 - Christmas Concert 2001 - We gave a Christmas Entertainment, this time in conjunction with a choir drawn from our own members. As in the past the players funded the expenses and the proceeds of a retiring collection were given to a local Children's Hospital.
