Sarah Alice Warren (nee Bullough) used to wear these clogs, working at Greensmiths Mill in Westhoughton in the early 1900’s. They were donated to Westhoughton Library by her daughter and will be on display in the exhibition area.

In 1932 there were nine cloggers in Westhoughton as well as a service at the Westhoughton Coop. However by 1961 you had to go out of Westhoughton to get your clogs repaired.
