Play Rugby:
If you're interested in playing rugby or looking for a fun way to
get fit, why not join us for a training session? These are twice
weekly on a Tuesday and Thursday at 7.00pm at our home just on the
edge of Darlington, Blackwell Meadows. For full directions
click here to visit the men's
site.
What to bring:
- For training sessions bring
comfy clothes that you don't mind getting muddy.
- For matches you will need a gum
shield (this is the one piece of equipment we can't lend you!).
You can buy these very cheaply in most sports shops (be warned
though, you generally get very strange looks...)
- Rugby boots. Since they must
have rugby union studs, but most boots only come in sizes 9+ it is
often easiest (and cheaper) to buy football boots and a set of
studs and change them yourself.
- Don't panic. There is no rush. I
don't know anyone who had boots before they began to play.
Trainers are fine for the first few sessions.
Don't have a clue how to play?
Click here to see the rules,
appreciate how easy it sounds, and join in!
Interested,
drop us a line or
failing that just turn up.
