SEARCH ENGINES

AltaVista Search or Ask Jeeves, the Google, or HotBot, or Yahoo Search, or there are Metaweb searches like MetaCrawler, particularly Clusty with its categories sidebar to narrow down the search. These are all multiple search engines. Picsearch is a family friendly one. Wikipedia and Uncyclopedia are user written. Google also has tools for webmasters.

There is the NTU Email , Purchasing, and Estates' Badger links and I also run Portable Appliance Testing training courses for the University Health and Safety Department. Server command remote control, NTU Anywhere or the full IS staff version or the New IS new version can be used to access the network from outside.

Try bible.com for online bible resources.	The B B C online. Our Family has a Broadband web site at Virgin Media. Chris is with 1360 Squadron ATC. The British Library has good stuff. Nottingham Forest Football Club, but its better from the BBC.

Theres facebook, or GMail and Vodafone too. I also use NTLWorld email. Dissolving @Mailinator.com email accounts are neat. This Is Nottingham from the Evening Post. Chris goes to Bilborough College. Unison has a trade union site. I am a CofEPOW . I use an Orange phone. Media UK is good for web radio	Babel fish, Language Translator of text or web pages. Blackwell's bookshop. Barclays, NatWest or American Express Banks. A Currency Converter is handy. For electronic bartering, EBay is poor competition for Amazon - use Sniping . Better are: One Way, EBid, or Bonanzle . Use Post Office to send it.
Silly	Travel
If you are Bored, then try the End of the Internet. Then there's Eclectec or the Framley Local Newspaper and Funny Games are funny. Old but good: the new Hampsterdance2. Weekly World News site. Weebis do funny movies too.	Google Maps all of Great Britain at Street-Level, routes, or by street name. Try Green Flag too. Ordnance Survey is handy, or more globally, N A S A have good pictures too and Windows Live Local global mapping. Search UK Petrol Prices for free on Petrol Prices.com. National Rail and Train Line (c/w prices) have good train route Planners. Travel News and cameras from around Nottingham.

Introducing HTML 4 is a for web page writers, as is Web Monkey - Java Script for web pages. I like to use the Firefox browser and FoxIt PDF viewer	Windows Event Viewer - what does that event Mean?? The Microsoft US Support centre. From there, search or browse for technical support information. Computer slow to start? Get rid of some Useless programs and other Task List programs and drivers!

CONTROL ENGINEERING

The Engineering Council represents the engineering profession in the UK. The British Fluid Power Association represents the British fluid power industry. There is an Introduction to the effects of feedback on systems called Feedback and Control by C.D.H Williams of Exeter University. The Institute of Measurement and Control , of which I am a member. Find a calibrator at the United Kingdom Accreditation Service , the UKAS calibration laboratory website.
