I'M A FIRST TIME CALLER
AND I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE SUBJECT BUT I WOULD LIKE TO PUT IN MY THREE
PENNY'S WORTH

I have only ever known one pedophile. I'm not even sure that is the
correct way to spell it. And yet I am a gay man. Strange that. Well strange
to many who have as little understanding of what being a gay man means
as I have about the lives and times of pedophiles.
I say this because I have just listened to yet another very reasonable
sounding lady, yes certainly a lady, not your common or garden woman, giving
her views to a sympathetic presenter on the radio about gay men, children
and pedophiles.
What brought the matter up and set the phone lines a ringing was
the story of the two gay men who have paid a woman, note not a lady,
in the United States to have a child for them and has in fact actually
produced twins. The caller was convinced that they could be pedophiles
or if they were not their example would send jumbo jets full of pedophiles
hot footing it, or rather hot winging it to the good old USA to sow their
seed and reap their reward.
For a fair few thousand dollars, they could grow their own children
all ready to molest when they reached the age to which they were attractive
to them. In the meantime of course there would be dirty nappies to change,
feeds to be mixed, tantrums to be dealt with and a host of other inconveniences.
Now I ask you, would a pedophile go to all that trouble when for
£399 he, or to be politically correct, she could buy a ticket to
any one of half a dozen third world countries where suitable victims line
up waiting to be molested.
If he, and I'll stick with that if you don't mind, finds all the
hassle of third world travel too much, he can watch out for one of those
single parents with a few kids who he could woo with flowers and the odd
trip to Harvesters. After which he moves in, marries the mother or lives
over the brush and within weeks gets what he really wants.
He could even get paid to help out at a children's home, or become
a devoted volunteer at a club or scouts group, or just be extra nice to
the neighbours kids. All a lot easier than actually going to all
the trouble of 'growing his own', and a whole lot cheaper.
So I'm not sold on the accuracy of the opinions held by this very
nice caller. I do appreciate the concerns of those who think having two
fathers is no substitute for having a father and mother. I had a father
and mother who were pretty average but I am gay man and nothing they did
was responsible for that. I happen to also have children who are biologically
my own and as far as I am aware they are attracted only to the opposite
sex.
It depresses me however that there are still people out there, and
their numbers are large, who still associate being gay with being a pedophile.
It seems to me as someone of average intelligence with the ability to read
that large numbers of such people are not gay and target little girls not
boys. Large numbers don't discriminate targeting boys and girls. Some target
boys only. Large numbers of such men are related to their victims, may
even be their fathers or step fathers, brothers or even grandfathers.
I have read that the majority of child abusers are family members
known to their victims. Of course that may only be anti "family values"
propaganda put out by the Gay Mafia most of whom, it appears now live in
Scotland. Funny that. I thought Rome was their most likely home base.
I digress. There are millions of Gay men in the world. A small handful
are also pedophiles. If it were not so, no child would be safe anywhere
on this planet. As it is most children never experience being offered sweets,
rides in cars or a chance to suck a nice lollipop. It's time adults grew
up and accepted this and turned their brains to more important things than
who should or should not be a parent. But then I also enjoyed "South Park,
the Movie" and "The Life of Brian" . I also thought Arnold in "Torch Song
Trilogy" made a great parent.
I started this article by saying that I have known only one pedophile
in my life. He rented a room from me years ago and I quickly asked him
to leave when his views on children made me realize where he was coming
from. I doubt he was a danger to anyone, just pathetic really. Just like
the lady caller.
