Interests & memberships Member of St George's-Tron City-Centre Church Glasgow since 1997, though I've been going there since before I was born. Actively involved in international student work there & the orchestra amongst other things. Somehow let into Cambridge for 1997-2000 studied Computer Science (before the fancy new Gates building) at Trinity Hall (a lovely wee college) where I rowed in the boat club (fun, hard work and very bad) involved with St Andrew the Great (StAG) church and CICCU as a Bible study group leader, bookstall accountant, musician etc... Worked with Wycliffe Bible Translators 2000-1 with Training in the UK, then out in Nigeria for a year making a trilingual dictionary Miscellaneous facts Born in Rottenrow Maternity hospital in Glasgow which no longer exists. (It was in the midst of the Strathclyde university campus, now a garden.) Despite being born and brought up mostly in Glasgow I've utterly escaped the beautiful (!) Glaswegian accent. I blame my parents! They're English, and from age 2-8 I was growing up in England and Uganda without any Glaswegians to talk with. By 9 I was too stubborn to change! Computer programming since age 9, starting with a BBC and BASIC! Once managed to mess up my computer so much and hadn't got a proper backup plan then, that I had to buy a computer magazine to get hold of some software I'd written... it had just been released on a Cover CD before I wiped my hard disc!
