The Trip to Aspen, Colorado was organised by Janet on behalf of the UK Friends of John Denver. A group of over 40 members left Heathrow for Denver on the 3rd October and after an overnight stay in Aurora, Denver the group travelled via Canon City, Durango, and Montrose before arriving in Aspen on the 10th October. En route we saw some amazing sights - The Garden of the Gods, Mesa Verde cliff dwellings, a day on the Durango to Silverton Steam Railway and a day at the Black Canyon at Gunnison National Park.

In Aspen, visits to Windstar, Maroon Bells and Woody Creek along with numerous concerts, including one by our own Steve Brook, made the trip unforgettable.

Grateful thanks go to Janet, our tour organiser, to Irene and Tony, our tour guides, and to Andrew, our superb resident comedian and coach driver.
