BIG KNICKERS

Lets hear it for big knickers girls!

They keep you warm and snug

They keep out draughts and icy blasts

And the occasional creeping bug!

Years ago when I went to the surgery

In agony with my back

After a lengthy examination

The nurse sent me to old Dr Mac

"You come to me with back pain"

He roared leaping out of his chair

"The solution is in your own hands, girl,

Wear sensible underwear!"

"If you expose your nether regions

In lacey flimsy things

Don't expect me to be sympathetic

For your sufferings"

My mother ignored my protests

And glad in fleecy-lined

I had to admit it made a difference

To have a warm behind!

So while others complain about chilblains

Freezing ears or fingers or toes

It doesn't bother yours truly

No, I can cope with those

What I hate is a freezing bottom

A very large area to heat!

So, lets hear it for big knickers, girls

For comfort they can't be beat!
