Mark Seyler: 4, 5 and Octave Fiddles, Vocals. |
| When young (many
years ago) Mark learnt to play the violin properly, but got terribly bored
with Bach and Beethoven so put his instrument away in a case under the bed.
Ten years or more later he discovered Morris dancing, retrieved said instrument
from its hiding place and has played tunes in multiples of eight bars ever
since.
Losing his classical technique in favour of a more relaxed, some might say more decorative style, he has accompanied Handforth, Ringheye of Mobberley and Bollin Morris sides, and played in several ceilidh bands including Thingers and Fumbs and Five Bar'd Gait. He, unlike the other members of Trebuchet, finds that one instrument is enough for his fingers to cope with so remains firmly a fiddler only! Away from the music he has a variety of interests.. in fact can find interest in most things... but social events are favourites, and gardening, DIY, bird watching and countryside activities in general dominate his free time. He is a broadcast sound engineer by trade and deals with PA matters at band gigs. Instruments Traditional
