No. of Records

The number of records submitted for a species in each year.
Fluctuations may indicate a change in distribution or abundance of a species, or changes
in the recording habitats of the naturalists that recorded it.

No. of Adults per Record

The number of adults reported for a species divided by the number of
records reported for that species. This gives a crude measure of "local abundance" independent to a degree of
how many records were submitted or where people visited. Long-term trends may indicate real changes in abundance
providing there are sufficient numbers of records to smooth-out anomalies.
