San Sebastian, Spain

San Sebastian is a city located in the north of Basque Country, on the southern coast of the Bay of Biscay. San Sebastian's picturesque coastline makes it a popular beach resort. The town is known as Donastia in the Basque language.

The video starts off showing the Zurriola beach. At 1.48 secs the camera pans up the Rio Urumea showing the Kursaal (the square building on the left of the river). The Kursaal is an arts and conference centre designed by Rafael Moneo.

At around 3 minutes the video concentrates on the Monte Urgull, on top of which sits a fort and a large statue of Christ which overlooks the town below.

From 4 minutes the camera concentrates on the narrow streets of the old town, the church and the plazas.

Around 5.15 seconds in we fly over the town's port, which sits at the bottom of Monte Urgull and next to the old town. At 6 minutes you can see the aquarium which lies at the end of the old port.

At 6.30 the video shows San Sebastian's main beach La Concha (the shell), which is the beach you can see on the map. At 7.30 you can see the Palacio Miramar that overlooks La Concha.
