The Buda Castle (Hungarian: Budai Vár – „Castle of Buda” or Budai Várnegyed – „Buda Castle Quarter”) is a city part of Budapest, Hungary.

The Castle of Buda, the historical royal castle of Hungary can be found in this district, along with 17th and 18th century houses and public buildings. Many of them were damaged during World War II and revolution in 1956 but have been restored since then, and the district became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.

The district abounds in historic attractions, museums, charming, crooked streets following the shape of the hill, cafés and restaurants and offers a breathtaking panorama of the Danube with the Chain Bridge and the opposite Pest side.
