HistoryFirst Ever Leamington Juniors

Leamington Juniors were first founded in 1978 as the Junior side of AP Leamington. Who Later became Leamington FC and then with the sale of there home ground “The Windmill” eventually folded. Although this was not the end of the Juniors side, who continued on with junior teams in the Mid-Warwickshire league and later began running men's teams in the local Sunday league.

Below is an extract from The Leamington Courier about the creation of the team including a photograph of the first ever Leamington Juniors Team!!!

“AP ARE SET TO EXPAND

All set for a bright future – that’s newly formed AP Juniors, playing their first season in the Mid-Warwickshire Boy’s League.

Tom Marshall, the club’s secretary, explained: “We only play at under-10 level at the moment, but we have plans to field a side in each age group in the future.”

The team was started through AP’s Sports and Social Club.”
