History Of Club

Founded in 1990 by Denise Symon, the club trains at Johnstone in the summer and an indoor equestrian centre in the winter. We have 48 members in the club.

The club has a very healthy membership, and training is divided into several categories. There is a beginners course, on completion of which, the dogs can extend their skills by joining the intermediate, then the advanced class. Advanced dogs can compete at open shows.

Summer is a busy time for the club. The season of shows in Scotland start at the beginning of April and finish generally at the end of September, although shows are also run in indoor arenas throughout the winter too. These can be as far a field as Fyvie castle near Aberdeen to Kelso in the borders. Shows in England also run throughout the year and members will travel to these, competing against a much larger field, as Agility in England has a bigger following at the moment (although those North of the border are catching up fast!).
