Motorsport Preparation

Here at KB Automotive our real area of expertise is in building and preparing cars for circuit racing. We build and prepare race cars to the highest, championship winning standards. Although much of our race work is on cars from the MG Rover range this is by no means the limit of our abilities. We have prepared race winning cars from Caterhams all the way up to Marcos LM600's racing in the British GT championship, we have a vastly experienced team and all the facilities to take on any job in the motorsport arena, and succeed!

We have had unrivalled success with the MG Rover range of cars in motor racing. In 5 years we have racked up over 20 wins with MGFs and MG ZRs in the MG Owners Club race championship. We have taken MG ZR's to the Silverstone Britcar 24 hour race twice. Both times finishing ahead of cars with 4 times more power and costing 50 times more money, and in 2006 race cars built and run by the KB Automotive Racing team won the Britcar Production S1 Endurance series and the CSCC Tin Tops Endurance series beating more powerful Renault Clio's and Honda's along the way.
Building a race car from a bare bodyshell into a championship winning machine takes a great deal of time, care and skill. The attention to detail makes the difference between an also ran and a race winner and no one will give your car more attention than KB Automotive. The ability to set-up a car to extract maximum performance is a skill which comes with time and experience. To date, KB Automotive Racing has won races in every race championship it has entered. Trying to maintain a race car can be a very difficult challenge for the private individual. You need a huge amount of equipment, knowledge and time to get, and keep a car in race winning condition. KB Automotive Racing offer a full range of race car preparation and building services for teams and private individuals. Anything from a basic car set-up on our corner weight scales to a complete car build. The key to a fast, reliable race car is good preparation so why not speak to us about making your car go faster.
