This is particularly relavent to the K series engine which has earned itself a reputation for unreliability. Unfortunately a lot of this is a result of garages who do not understand the complexities of the engine and how to work on it. We have experience of building full race specification engines which are expected to work in conditions that would never be experienced by an engine in a road car. In fact our competition engines have successfully finished the Silverstone Britcar 24 hour race in 2005 and 2006 without as much as a single misfire! That has to be the ultimate testiment to reliabilty.
