Cancer and Us

Hello and welcome to Cancer and us.

We are a cancer support group based in the day centre at St Anns Hospice Little Hulton.

The group is for men and women with any type of cancer.

We run the group ourselves and the hospice very kindly allow us to use their day room and conservatory and they provide refreshments. This enables us to have our group in comfortable and pleasant surroundings.

We have two groups each month. On the 2nd Monday of every month we meet in the conservatory at 10am-12pm, where our more artistic members take part in a craft group. They make all sorts of things, some of which are sold in aid of our group.

The second group takes place on the last Tuesday of every month in the day room 7-9pm. We have guest speakers and informal chats and a raffle. A fee of £2 is paid and this goes towards the running of our group and is used for day trips, complementary therapies and flowers for people who are ill and need cheering up.
