For your delectation and delight, here are the song lyrics of Gary Le Strange. Plus a couple of poems. It's not an exhaustive list: there are quite a number of songs I've written or semi-written that aren't included (particularly from the Glamoronica period). But I have included all the words from the album songs, all the words from stuff I've performed live, and all the words to the songs I recorded for The Day the Music Died on Radio 2. I don't pretend they're all hilariously funny, or even any good at all. Some of the ones I did for the radio embarrass me no end. But I'm an anally retentive self-indulgent obsessive-compulsive list-compiler, so they're all here anyway. In time, I'll become even more obsessive and add notes to explain what the hell I was thinking of when I wrote them. But for now, the words will have to speak for themselves... |
