This is a picture of the end of Market Street, where it joins the High Street. The front of the Lloyds Bank building was preseved when it was rebuilt and can still be seen today. On the right is the Rose and Crown pub, which used to be on the corner of Market Street and the High Street, next to the Compasses pub. It was probably taken in the 1940s.
