3. Grand Union Canal

This is the Grand Union Canal, at the bottom of Cassiobury Park, looking north. It was formed as part of the Grand Junction Canal (started immediately after the Act of 1793), reaching Watford about 1796. Later on, it was merged with the Grand Union system, from where it takes it's present name.

It is located at position 3 in green on the map.
