If you have a poem about your canine companion which you would like to share with us we would love to hear from you! It can be funny, sad or just something that makes your pet special to you. A photo would also be nice! (Please keep them at around 30k)
TIPZY My Dog, she lies across my feet,
Expression on her face, so sweet
To tell me, she loves me the most
Because I'm eating buttered toast!

MY DOG'S BEST FRIEND My dog's best friend was my friend, too.
But - what's an owner going to do?
When 'best friend' comes — week after week,
goes out walkies — plays hide and seek?
Has pockets full of doggy treats
and lets MY dog up — on MY best seats!
'Best friend' tickles her silky ears.
It's been going on for many years.
My dog's 'best friend' WAS my friend, too.
You don't know what I've been going through!

Loyalty One was always ailing,
One exuded health.
Neither begged for anything,
Neither coveted wealth.
Together they were friends,
Apart, well, they were lost.
They really loved to play
and have fun at any cost.
One was always cheeky,
One was always shy.
Being different made them one.
A bond never to untie.
If one needed help
The other would always find,
Someone to administer
the hand of humankind.
One was very fearful
One was always bold,
The unknown he would venture,
While the other would withhold.
When they had to part
As death held out a hand,
The other withdrew to emptiness,
Now, alone, he'd stand.
It's dogs — of which I'm speaking.
To prejudice, they're blind.
If only this deep friendship
Was present in all mankind!

Naughty but Nice They say I'm a feisty lady,
Molly is my name,
I have a best friend called Jessie,
And life is one big game.
They say I'm a feisty lady,
Yes, I like some fun,
My mum gives me instructions, but
I keep her on the run.
They say I'm a feisty lady,
Sometimes naughty, but nice,
My big black nose, can smell very well,
But not always sugar and spice.
They say I'm a feisty lady,
When it suits me I'm hard of hearing,
But if they rattle the biscuit tin,
I dash with gusto and feeling.
Kay said I'm a feisty lady,
At K9, our club, I'm a star,
With a clicker and treat, I'll spin on my feet,
And give them a wave from afar.
I know I'm a feisty lady,
A true terrier, that is why,
I've got spirit, not aggression,
And I'm certainly not shy.
Dad says I'm a feisty lady,
Especially when he's grooming,
And when I've been stripped and clipped for a show,
We're both excited and blooming.
Although I'm a feisty lady
And sometimes in a muddle,
When evening comes and I see a lap,
I curl up for a cuddle.
