THE PROBLEM WITH POO!

THE PROBLEM WITH POO!

Now when I say 'poo', I am not talking about a little yellow bear that likes honey. Rather the brown stuff that comes out of one end of a dog at regular intervals, at varying speeds and with a variety of 'YUK' values. The problem with 'poo' is that it needs to be picked up folks, not sometimes but all the time. I may be speaking to the converted, but the converted also need to work hard at converting others.

'Poo' after all can have a variety of positive aspects about it. It may not be good stuff for the roses, but it can give you a fair indication that all is well (or not) with your dogs digestive system, give clues about the right foods to feed, identify wiggly things that should not be there and also reassure you all is well if you (that is the dog) achieve a 'regular' habit. Of course, if you personally can achieve that too, consider it a bonus!

On a serious note, don't forget 'poo' is used as the hammer to crack a nut, by the anti-dog lobby. Mainly because so many people don't pick it up. The scare -mongering about the transmission of certain diseases is always the headline that hits us first. SO, friends, pick it up. After all we all believe hygiene is important to us, so it is to our dogs. We all go to the bathroom, caring for our dog's toilet needs are much of the same thing. While I admit that picking 'poo' up is not always easy, (I had a Great Dane, and what came out of the wagging end of that dog was sometimes frightening), but I managed. I found that the bags of scented nappy sacs you can buy at chemists and supermarkets save the day, easy to carry and easy to use.

Remember we, as dog owners are the shop- window for all dogs. If we are seen to do our best the anti-dog lobby lose ground and to be honest, the problem is not the dogs, it's always the owners. If we really believe that the dog is man's best friend, then to do this little service for our dogs is only what good friends should do. Good Hunting!
