The Yaris/Vitz Professional race at Special Stage R11 Reverse. This race is certainly one of the hardest anywhere on the Gran Turismo 3 game, but is nothing like unwinnable.
There's no need for bashing walls, slamming into the AI cars or other unruly behaviour, neat tidy laps can win this by a mile. Here's how to do it.
Take one Toyota Yaris or Vitz RS 1.5, preferably in pink, and modify it as far as you can with power, suspension, brake and drivetrain upgrades. Do Weight Reductions 1,2&3 and buy T2 and T3 tyres.

Set the car up as above with T2s on the front and T3s on the rear and you should be ready to hit the tracks. My suggestion would be to run laps in Arcade/Free Run for a while to get some practice in at the track and to get the car past it's 300km/190mile mark so that it has maximum power. Change the Oil, and give the car a wash to make it as slippery through the air as possible and you're ready to go.
Taking a few laps to set the car up first, I ran this race once, and set a time of 21'53.223 with a fastest lap of 2'09.119 and all but the first two laps in the 2'09s, winning the race by nearly 75 seconds. Download it here. If you can lap within 7 - 7.5 seconds of me consistently with these tyres, you can win this race.

How To Drive It |
|
| 1 |
Get the car turned into the corner and hold the inside line as tight as possible all the way around. Do not run to the outside on the exit of the corner. Then you're ready for... |

| 2 |
Nail the chicane by bouncing over the kerbs and going as close to the two apexes as you dare. Watch out for the back stepping out if the rear tyres are still cold. |

| 3 |
Try to keep the left-hand wheels on or near the left-hand kerb for as long as possible. |
![]() |
| 4 |
Enter this one quickly, and slow down through the corner, leaving yourself about halfway across the road on the exit. This sets you up for 5. |

| 5 |
Just take this as fast as you can, making sure you don't hit either barrier. |

| 6 |
Aim to get your inside wheels onto the kerb and hold them there until near the end of the corner. Don't run out across the track until the road straightens. |

| 7 |
Another fast-in slow out corner. You want to be on the left of the track on the exit, with the car nicely under control. |

| 8 |
The same as turn 2, clatter over the kerbs and try to straightline this as much as possible. Exit speed matters a lot here. |

| 9 |
This corner is really long and slow. Try not to make it any longer by running away from the apex. |
![]() |
| 10 |
Keep hugging the barrier until you see the road straighten in front of you |
![]() |
| 11 |
It's more important to keep to the centre or right hand side of the track on the exit because turn 12 is more important |
![]() |
| 12 |
Give this one as much as you can, but stay off the wall for best exit speed. |

| 13 |
Keep to the barrier on the right as long as possible then give a slight lift on the throttle as you turn in to put some weight over the front wheels - this will make them grip. This corner is possible to take flat, but the lift makes it easy. |

Exit speed is everything here because of the long run down to the 1st corner |

There are a three golden rules to driving this car:
1. When you hit the power, the car will UNDERSTEER. Use the throttle very sparingly when going around the corners and life will be much, much easier. 2. Keep off the walls. A 1800bhp Suzuki Escudo can ride them, but a humble Vitz/Yaris cannot.3. Because you cannot go fast, make sure you don't have to drive further than you have to. Keep tight to those apexes on the long corners.
