I've
got replays for most of the Time Trials and some of the S
Licences. Here they are in PAL .xps format:- |

Licence S 1
|
The
VX220 test at Apricot Hill is about never lifting off the throttle
unless you really have to.
1'38.427
compares favourably with the Gold time of 1'40.000 or 1'40.500 in
the NTSC game.
|
 |
|
Licence S 2
|
Widely
felt to be one of the most difficult licence tests in the
game. The GT40 car be a tricky car to handle and Seattle 2
is a track with lots of bumps and undulations to catch out it's
elderly suspension.
My
best time is 1'27.771, a big improvement on the Gold time of
1'30.000

 |
|
Licence S 3
|
The
Mazda MX-5/Miata around Trial Mountain is a very similar test to
Time Trial 2. It's all about keeping up momentum,
particularly through the slower corners.
I'm
not so far under the gold time, my 1'51.091 compares to the gold
of 1'52.200

Licence S 4
|
Midfield
is my bogey track, and I've never worked out why, even with a nice
car like the Pennzoil GT-R
Hence
a disappointing 1'10.057 against the Gold time of 1'11.000
|
 |
|
Licence S 5
|
The
Toyota Trueno is a car that drives 'loose' at the best of
times. In the wet the problem is magnified. This test
is all about maintaining as much momentum and using as much
throttle as you can without losing time in speed-sapping slides.
My
best time is 1'56.694 compared to the Gold time of 1'58.900
|

Licence S 6
|
The
rather enjoyable Chrysler Viper Team Oreca gets to run around the
even more enjoyable Laguna Seca. If I enjoy it so much why
can't I go any quicker than this? I just don't seem to be
able to put a lap together.
My
best time is 1'15.932 less than 1 second quicker than the 1'16.800
Gold standard.

TVR
Griffith 500 (1998) around SS Route 11.
My
time was 2'06.550 to beat the PALGold target of 2'09.300 and the NTSC
gold of 2'10.000 |
 |
|
Licence S 8
|
Often
regarded as the toughest of the licence's, I found this one easier
than many.
My
time is 1'25.156 against the PAL Gold target 1'27.800 and way
inside the NTSC Gold of 1'31.000

I
found this Time Trial really difficult, I just don't seem to be
able to get myhead around either the Motorsport Elise or Midfield
Raceway.
My
time best time is 1'21.351 |
 |
|
Time Trial

Trial
Mountain, a great track, in the Mazda MX5, one of the toughest time trials.
My
time best time is 1'44.581 |

|
Time Trial

To
get the best out of the Honda S2000 V Spec you seem to need to
slide the car into the corner, but not too much or it will scrub
off a lot of speed. My
time best time is 1'57.375 |
 |
|
Time Trial

|
Deep
Forest Raceway (my favourite) in the Nissan Skyline GT-R Vspec II
R34 (2000).
My
time best time is 1'22.619 |
 |
|
Time Trial

|
Laguna
Seca Raceway (another great track) in the Dodge Viper GTS/R
Concept Car (2000).
My
time best time is 1'19.971 |

|
Time Trial

The
Castol Supra is a joy to drive, there's nothing you can't do with
this car. Apart from trying to miss all the cones at the
chicane, the lap flows nice and easy. My
time best time is 1'14.084 |
 |
|
Time Trial

|
Grand
Valley Speedway, the Daddy of road tracks, in the Castrol Mugen
Honda NSX JCTC Car.
My
time best time is 1'44.649 |
 |
|
Time Trial

|
Getting
down and dirty with the Impreza prototype rally car at Swiss Alps.
My
time best time is 1'20.812 |
 |
|
Time Trial

|
Tahiti
Maze in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Rally Car (1999).
An easy time trial to make a mistake in, and ruin your lap.
My
time best time is 1'57.417 |
 |
|
Time Trial
10
|
The
fearsome and daunting Complex String in the RUF R-GT (2000).
Another track where it's just too easy to make a mistake and go
off.
My
time best time is 4'42.610 |
 |
