Casa la Quinta is a gorgeous Spanish Finca set in half an acre (2000 square metres) of natural gardens, with four bedrooms to sleep eight. It is spacious and perfect for a family holiday or groups of friends.

Imagine swimming in the pool on the edge of the pine forest, then picking fragrant rosemary and thyme to sprinkle on fresh fish for a barbecue. Follow up with a doze in the sun on the hammock or sunbeds, a few drinks on the terraces watching the sun go down and a game of darts or table tennis.

The beautiful bay of Javea is a sheltered circle of pristine sand and safe clean waters, overlooked by Montgo, the Elephant Mountain, which is a nature reserve. Both beach and mountain are just 10 minutes' drive away, and there are bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets throughout the area.

Just two minutes' walk down the bamboo lined lane from La Quinta is a typical Spanish restaurant with a newly-refurbished bar behind it, with several more close at hand.

La Quinta is a delight out of season too. Picture yourself walking over Montgo looking at the natural crystals and admiring the amazing views over Javea, or hiring a bike and exploring the wine-producing delights of the Jalon Valley.

If you like riding, there's a centre just up the road along with two golf courses and for those who prefer less energetic pursuits, Javea town and port are full of history, with many art exhibitions, music festivals, fiestas and shops to enjoy.

Casa La Quinta is a rustic farmhouse-style holiday villa (Finca) available to let. The villa is set in extensive and secluded grounds in the attractive Javea area, midway between Alicante and Valencia on the Costa Blanca, Spain. Although you can enjoy total privacy, the villa is just a minute's walk from a typical Spanish restaurant and bar and only ten minutes drive from the beautiful Javea beach, the picturesque Port and historic Pueblo (the Old Town of Javea).

Bordered by a pine forest and river bed lined with Cypresses and Cacti, the villa has its own swimming pool and paved, colonnaded terraces (Nayas) where you can make the most of sun or shade at all times of the day during your holiday, whilst enjoying the perfume of lavender, rosemary and wild thyme. The long Naya accommodates an 8-seater dining table and a full-sized table-tennis table together with double sofa-bed, whilst the shorter Naya has terracotta tiling, a 4-seater dining table, cane sofa and chairs, coffee table and a dart board. The upper terrace affords mountain and forest views.

The 8m x 4m pool enjoys both sun and shade and all pool furniture is provided. It is cleaned once a week, usually on a Thursday. There are picnic tables and sun loungers around the extensive gardens. La Quinta is the perfect place to chill out in typical Spanish style or use as an elegant base for enjoying the many delights of this attractive area, including golf (two 18-holes courses on the doorstep), walking on Montgo, a renowned and protected area of natural beauty, horse riding, sailing, taking in the local culture and fiestas, or simply lying on the blissful sandy beach and soaking up the sun and sangria!

ACCOMMODATION

The villa has four generous double bedrooms and will accommodate 8-10 people with ease. On the ground floor, the pink room adjoins the master bathroom, which is also accessible from the hall, whilst the blue room has a serving hatch into the kitchen for those who may enjoy breakfast in bed!

The two upper rooms both have doors opening onto a large sun terrace with views over the swimming pool and forest, and there is a second small bathroom with w/c, basin and shower. Both bathrooms have been refitted and tiled for 2004.

The living room is the only remaining part of the original Finca (apart from the well and Naya) which dates back to 1880. It has wooden beams on the ceiling and a wood-burning fire as well as more modern features including a TV and video. Doors open onto both Nayas.

The kitchen adjoins the living room and has also been refurbished for 2004. There is a new fridge/freezer, gas cooker with a 4-ring hob, oven and grill, microwave/convection oven, kettle and washing machine. There is also ample crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, pans and serving dishes, and you will find table clothes, napkins and other accessories in the living room dresser.
