How
can anyone describe themselves honestly and candidly - without the prospect of
imminently meeting their maker? Well
here goes…. I am female, happily married, old enough to keep it discreet, but
young enough to cross the street unescorted.
I sometimes break into a run….but never long enough to break into a
sweat.
I
live in the Midlands in England but I was born and raised in Edinburgh and yes,
I do know that I have not lost my accent.
Music: all kinds,
Classical (especially guitar), Folk, Big Band, Latin…
Reading: science
fiction and scary fiction e.g. Steven King.
I like a good storyline, especially where a reality suspension is
involved – if I need a depressing reality check then I can get that from
watching the news…droughts, floods, earthquakes, war, disease and recession… beam me up Scotty!!
TV: favourite
programmes include Red Dwarf, Voyager for comedy and science fiction. I am also a sucker for history documentaries
and natural history programmes.
Cinema: where would you start … I enjoy many new films but I
still enjoy old classic films because more things were left to the imagination.
Genealogy: this
is my latest and most time-consuming hobby.
If you are interested there are links leading you onto my family history
pages.
Travel: favourite
holiday location – the Greek Islands …warm evenings eating al fresco with good
food and plenty of wine and no rush…sigh!!
Crystal clear turquoise sea, warm enough to swim in… then finally come
out and just dry off in the sun - lovely!!
