SPONSORS

The National Space Centre Amateur Radio Society (NSC-ARS) is pleased to announce the support of major equipment manufacturers and the radio amateur community.

Following initial funding by individual radio amateurs and clubs in Leicestershire and the Midlands, major sponsorship has been received from:

Yaesu UK
The Radio Society of Great Britain
AMSAT UK
Kenwood UK

The main station radio a Yaesu FT-847 Amateur Satellite transceiver, has been provided by Yaesu UK. This allows the Club to communicate directly with the International Space Station as part of the ARISS experiment (Amateur Radio in the International Space Station).

Our G5500 aerial rotator and controller is also provided by Yaesu UK Ltd

The Radio Society of Great Britain has donated £2,000 to meet our capital and running costs, recognising the value of the NSC project to Amateur Radio.

AMSAT UK - the British arm of the amateur satellite movement - has loaned £2,000 worth of specialist equipment, including aerials and specialist digital and receiving equipment, supplied through Waters and Stanton Ltd.

KENWOOD UK has donated a portable handheld transceiver, THD-7A, which will be used to demonstrate the Amateur Position Reporting System, and slow scan television, by satellite.
