On the weekend of the Bulldog bash, August 2006, much to my amazement, whilst watching the "run what you Brung" racers blatting down the dragstrip, the comentator announced a special run of the Brand new zzr1400. After watching the rider Tim Blakemore battle to keep the front end down and and clocking a whopping 137MPh in just 10.04 seconds, I had to go and speak to Tim and see the machine up close and personal
I was allowed in to the pits to get these exclusive pictures and had a chat with tim about the bikes performance. Tim told me the bike could easily excell on todays run, the hard bit was trying to keep the front down to get the power on, with a few more runs he could better that time. He says the bike is an animal with power upon power but suprising light.
Tim was even kind enough to let me have a sit on the bike, With a friendly hells angel to steady the bike, i could get both feet up, the bike does feel incredibly light and well balance, Tim refused of course to let me take it down the strip for a spin, But ah well, I appreciate you even letting me sit on the beast. tim will be putting some dyno results on his site for the ZZR1400 soon, feel free to visit timsawesome website at :-
to see what magic he can do with a dragbike, and for all your other tuning, turbo charging and notrous needs!!
Enjoy the close up pictures from zzr600.co.uk, (ps the tape and the dirt is all from the drag strip)
