3am can reveal that actor-singer Jason Donovan is in secret negotiations to join The Bill.
The former Neighbours star .... is said to be near to clinching a deal with the Thames television show.
A Bill spokesman says:
"Jason has been in to see us a couple of times and we are in negotiations to get him on board as a permanent cast member.
"Nothing has been signed yet as he is currently shooting a series called MDA where he plays a medical lawyer."
Jason is said to be one of The Bill's secret weapon in its bid to boost flagging ratings.
"Our new producer is very keen to sign him," says the spokesman. "Our mother company makes Neighbours so we think he'd slip very easily into the programme.'

Jason is doing the rounds at a club near you!!He is appearing in the clubs called' Brannigans'.So if you have a club near you the
chances are that he will put in an appearance.He is only doing a short set of about 15 mins or so ,but it is worth a chance to see the man back in action.2001

Jason performed two short gigs in the North East of England tonight. Firstly he played at the Lizard Lounge in Newcastle where he looked and sounded fantastic. The venue was packed and Jason was ecstatically received by loyal fans. He followed this by a performance at the Tuxedo Royale in Middlesbrough.

What a great night it was too.Jason was there with Angela and he was on good form.Joking with the press etc.He pops up
throughout the film and there is a rather funny part when he tries to run for a bus!!!!
It is a very good film and you should go and see it if you can.
It was very well recieved on the night and the cinema was full with people spilling into the isles.
The press were there and took many photo's,but it remains to be seen if we will ever see any.Jason even posed with 'The Sun' sniffer dog!!
Guy pearce was also there and Jason looked so pleased to see him and they both posed for the press.
Lets just wait and see what the papers have to say.
