Name: Whalebone arch on North Berwick Law

Description: North Berwick Law is a 187m high conical hill which sits in an otherwise flat landscape. It can be seen from miles away, and when in the far distance or silhouetted against the sky its bluish outline looks like a giant slag heap. Closer to hand it's green form is less forbidding, as this view from Tantallon Castle, just east along the coast, reveals.

The island in the distance is Bass Rock.
