The World Of Radio Ohms Law

Go Back…

If your unsure always draw the triangle first it will help to remind you.

I (Current) = Amps. R (Ω) = Resistance. V = Volts

Looking for volts

Cover the symbol for volts = V

You are left with  I x R.

Do the sum I x R = V

V

Looking for Amps

                             R

Do the sum    R  = I

Looking for Ohms

I x R

Cover the symbol for Ohms = R

You are left with  V

Do the sum    I  = R

P,V x I

After working out the first triangle you may need to know if the component can take the amount of power that you intend to apply to it.

The triangle works the same cover up the one you are looking for.

P = Power  Measured in Watts

V = Volt.

I = Current measured in Amps
