Reservoir Outlet Supplying Penmaenuchaf Hydroelectric Generator

The reservoir at Penmaenuchaf was once properly lined and supplied a head of water for the hydroelectric turbine in the Engine Shed downstream. The water supply could be controlled by the operation of a sluice in the stone pier pictured above. The reservoir is now mainly a home to newts, the occasional duck and some eels.
