"The Cliffe" (Penmaenuchaf) Pre 1879 Map (Precedes Toll Bridge)

Over a hundred years ago there was no toll bridge at Penmaenpool, only a ferry. The Penmaenpool Bridge was built in 1879 by the Penmaenpool Bridge Company in which John Leigh-Taylor of Penmaenuchaf was a shareholder. My family still own the original Ferry Rights which are leased to the present-day toll bridge owners.
