Guthrie Whitby's website contains a miscellany of family pictures, news, titbits, and also useful
information about the memorial for Rite and Gavin Miller at Penmaenuchaf,
in Snowdonia North Wales.
What's New …
It's all go in the world of estate management. Recently, Guthrie went over to Penmaenuchaf
to assist Nigel Miller (company director) with a further assesment of the victorian water
channel which is due to be repaired.
Whilst he set up camp in the woods, Nigel checked in to the deluxe
edwardian Engine Shed undeterred by the faint whiff of ageing DDT and a lively bee infestation!
The room service was a bit of a let down but the rates are very reasonable.
A four tonne digger was hired for the weekend and plenty of fun was had grubbing out nuisance maple
saplings and brambles from the top paddock. Nige even found an old tractor plough which could be a collector's
item – especially if you've got a 1956 Massey Fergusson.
Backwoods Camping
Spring is on its way and the clocks change soon. Thoughts turn to a bit of camping. Read more about the
delights of wild camping in Snowdonia.
Mr & Mrs Euston
On 6 March it was the fourth wedding anniversary of Mike & Caroline Euston.
As such, we thought it was time to republish their wedding photographs.
Nina Whitby on BBC Radio
For some reason, Nina Whitby was recently on the Radio Derby breakfast show being interviewed about
her wedding day on the Isles of Scilly. The feature was looking at alternatives to traditional church
weddings. If you want to know more, a recording is available via e-mail.
You can find the Scilly wedding photos on Nina's website.
