I finally got my James Dean lookalike leather jacket (sale price plus discount at Infinity Motorcycles, Southampton) and some motorcycling jeans (armour pads in the knees, slightly longer in the leg for the sitting position) so I just had to go out for a spin to see how it all felt.
Marvelous, actually. Just right for this coolish Summer we are having. If heavy rain comes on, I can slip my cheapo one-piece Oxford waterproof suit on. (I tried it; it goes on and comes off very easily.)
