The latest from the nesting box

For the third year, I've set up a surplus infrared security camera as a webcam inside the bird nesting box.

I'm using the bird box I extended last year to accomodate the camera's focal length, and this year I've given it a squirt of spider repellant in an attempt to prevent spiders making cobwebs across the lens again.

I notice the picture is getting a bit wobbly, so three years of hard use may be starting to tell on the equipment. If it packs up this season, I may yet deviate from my bodger principles and succumb to the easy charms of a ready-made bird-cam.

For now, on with the show. And apologies again to anybody mislead by the name 'titcam'.

For previous year's reports and a few pictures, see Titcam '08 and Titcam '07.
