How fast should a new computer be? 2GHz? 3GHz? What effect does this have? What are GHz anyway?
Do I need Intel or AMD?
Do you really need the latest and greatest multi-GHz machine or would something a little more conservative, and cheaper, do the job. Should I buy branded equipment or cheaper from the local shop?

Configuration and tailoring of software.
Help in setting up systems to suit your needs. Networking, passwords, security, e-mail, etc.
How can I connect all my computers to the Internet through one link?
Set-up to use a portable computer in the office network without all those trailing wires.

Development of bespoke database applications.
Specifically-tailored applications to suit your businesses requirements. E.g. stock control, vehicle maintenance schedules, mailing lists, etc.
These are commonly done in Microsoft Access, and also utilising the other Office applications, but can be done in other systems if you have a specific requirement.

Web design and programming.
Web pages to your specification, including company logo, pictures* of your head office or factory, description of what you offer, product lists and prices. Data maintenance would not involve manual Web page editing, so no need to go near HTML and such things, but would be done via a simple user-interface designed for the purpose. This is important as lists like these have to be up-to-date to maintain relevance and customer confidence, so updating needs to be easy to do.
In addition, I can manage more complex systems involving outside suppliers.

Troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Any problems that you have I will do my best to solve. Sometimes things are outside of our control, in which case I'll follow it up with software suppliers etc. to resolve it.
