Tone: Bright/ various contrast possible for demonic players.
The players can be of any prince at all virtually, though the adventure would be different with Beleth, Mammon or Valefor (for reasons that each would appear later. The characters should be assigned to any large American city. Multiple princes work well for multiple havoc.
The adventure begins when they are given an assignment by their superior.. this is not given by the prince or princess themselves.. but as a letter received by the mail in most cases or a message on their answering machine. you should write this up and give it to your players.. adjusting it to fit what ever prince it is..

A very valuable Relic has been Stolen, all servitors must do their best efforts to find and locate this item as quickly as possible, without endangering their roles or their primary missions. The Relic, which is a small statue of a moth, should be returned to their direct superior at first chance. No picture exists of the moth which is described as a very realistic looking statue made of a bronze like substance, though expertly painted . The relic is very dangerous and should not, repeat not be used by anyone.
Sincerely Dark prince,. Lord of the Hoary Host, Your Pal(blank)_
Well this is helpful isn't it?. If questioned the prince doesn't offer any more information...but doesn't seem as if he expects the player to get it themselves. if their in a part with multiple princes then each prince makes a similar request...with the request that they deliver it to them. Oh, bother.
The reason all the princes are requesting this and none of the princes know much of all about it is that the prince (or actually princess) who lost the item, Beleth isn't telling much but will do anything to get it back. The relic is the only thing that keeps her sane, and it's also Blandine most precious gift. The unique relic has no real name she just calls it her dream, and with good reason, for it lets angels who touch it dream, something that angels cannot do, as they get lost in the dreamscape. Blandine who can not function with out her attuned presence ... even if only in a dream will do anything to get it back. This is where the problem comes in . . . for the Relic is trapped inside a dollar bill inside one of the players pocket.
How it got there is an interesting story. Breienda, an Impudite thief of Valefor scored a divine intervention(yes a divine one ... this isn't going to help her at all when she is discovered) and managed to break into Beleth's secret chamber in her castle where she keeps it. Discovered by guards in the act of discovery she vanished into a portal to the ethereal plane ... where still chased by guards though ultimately escaping ... she dropped the statuette ... It by and large was swallowed by the ethereal concept of the all mighty dollar, which not being able to digest it has excreted it into the money supply. It isn't a neat eater.
The player who finds it will notice the dollar with either a perception roll or not per the pretense when he makes his next purchase. It's not that hard to spot .. for the all seeing eye inside the pyramid now instead of being the eye of God... looks like it is the back of a moths wing.
It's a bit disconcerting to look at...how to get the moth out of the dollar bill -- if it is the moth at all they're looking for can be a bit hard to fathom. Any Superior they talk to isn't going to show much interest in their plight...but with the proper rolls, some searching around their contacts and friends some might suggest going into dreams and the Ethereal plane. There the player with a good roll of dreams, and through some odd dreams of monsters and Dennis Quaid will find their dollar bill's own private dreamscape! It is surprisingly enough a minor ethereal spirit in line with money that can take the roll of a dollar bill. However it and its six billion friends guarded by Mammon and the ethereal constructs of an all indo-european trade god, Macroco. Its servants are made literally out of stacks of coin, and are very likely to attack them. Fending them off they can remove the moth from the small boring and unintelligent ethereal -- any of the ethereal money spirits they take with them by the way will vanish when they leave the dream world only for the characters to find a dollar bill when they wake up. Pity that they're not easier to carry or they could make out.
Now that they have the item it becomes more freeform. The moth statue is like said shaped into a large eyed Malaysian moth, it's perfectly formed beautifully fitted and made of bronze. What do they do with it...and the item will help in this. Any character who touches it will randomly activate its power(Beleth knows how to do this but the characters will just stumble upon it. Upon doing this the character with have a fit of narcolepsy till they wake up or woken up, in which time they have the most wonderful of dreams ... magical dreams. The dreamscapes are located though they won't be disturbed by either side almost smack dab next in Blandines realm. The GM should make this up for the character, who must be remembered have never really dreamt before. The dream is freeform, but it should feature the occasional passing glance of the moth flittering about, and a large brown bear. Dreaming can be addictive to those who never have.
The characters can choose a number of things. By delivering it to any prince they will return it to Beleth.. whose nightmares have been growing erratic in a concept that the GM may choose to introduce as foreshadowing. If they are in argument it could be deciding which prince to give it to if any. This is clearly a dream and so a logical mind might deduce that it is angelic, and that if given to the host that they might redeem them. If the characters do this they might succeed. Might depending on her approach. Unfortunately Blandine, the most logical side to approach as it is a dream, would probably kill them thinking they have stolen from her beloved. Star-crossed lovers.
The characters have about a week. If they don't Beleth will have no choice but to face her love; the dream is the only thing keeping her alive for these centuries. She will appear at the gate of heaven redeem into her cherubic shape of a large brown bear, and Blandine will greet her as a giant winged moth - and if the characters are ever discovered they have big problems on their hands.
