As an old 'Bulwellhaller' (but not as old as you, obviously!) can I say
congratulations on a tremendous site. You must have put a lot of work into
this, and it deserves all possible support.

Congratulations on Bulwell Hall..  It is most interesting.  My first recollections of Bulwell Hall was aged about 5, when I got caught in some barbed wire.  It brought back memories that I had forgotten about. I am now 90, it was very pleasant remembering them.  Thanks again.

    Hi Brian,

It was really interesting to see your BULWELL Hall site. In 1881 an Annie Keen was working a Housekeeper on the Estate.
I have been researching the Keen Family of Measham, Derbyshire, Annie Coxon married William Keen in 1875.
I found him in Nottingham Jail in the 1881 Census, but no sight of him since, although I now he died in 1912.

Dear Brian,
Have just read your web pages You certainly worked very hard. Congratulations! Re: The Highbury School:. Mr. Lomax and Bulldog Hartley were teachers at the Highbury during my days there, and your descriptions are quite accurate. I to was a very ungrateful recipient of the Bulldog's favors. I don't remember now what it was for, but I know it bloody well hurt! The knocker I somehow dodged.
Yours, Harry.
