The Charity supported by the Club is
MYASTHENIA GRAVIS
The clubs involment with this charity is through John and his wife Rose
Myasthenia Gravis is an auto immune disease which is characterized by fluctuating sometimes fatal muscle weakness

Rose became ill with this disease shortly after her square dance graduation.
Her graduating club 'THE WHITE ROSE S.D.C.' raised money by hosting an annual charity dance. This has now become a very popular event in Yorkshire with several local callers giving their services  and  dancers traveling vast distances to the venue.
In 2001 The Yorkshire Federation of American Square Dance Clubs has adopted Myasthenia Gravis as It's Charity and is holding various ''Hoe Downs'' and Demo's to raise funds
Over the last seven years several thousand pounds has  been raised and donated to this charity.
This year the total is
£876.00
Both John and Rose would like to thank everybody for their support and kindness
