PAUSE — Suspend execution until ENTER is received on standard input

PAUSE [/?] [text]

/?
Display command syntax information.

Description

The PAUSE command prints text as a prompt to its standard output, and then waits until a newline sequence is received on its standard input. If no text is specified, PAUSE will display the default prompt "Press ENTER when ready.".
