LIBPATHSTRICT — Set or display the strict library path setting

Synopsis

LIBPATHSTRICT [/?] [value]

Options

/?
Display command syntax information.

Description

The LIBPATHSTRICT command either sets or displays the value of the strict library path setting. With no argument, it writes the value of the setting to its standard output, in the form "LIBPATHSTRICT=value". With an argument, it sets the value of the setting to that argument.

The strict library path setting is used by the operating system uses to determine how DLLs are located for processes spawned by the command interpreter. It is not available on all versions of IBM OS/2.

Note: On IBM OS/2, the strict library path setting is not an environment variable. It cannot be unset. Nor can it be manipulated with commands that affect or display the process' environment.
