Some people think that Ceroc shuts down for Christmas. How wrong they are!
Every year I compile a Christmas events list from all of the sources at hand, if only for my own sake so that I know where I am. This year, for the first time, I'm putting it on a web page. (When you've finished reading it, you can, if you like, hit your web browser's "Up" button - if your web browser has an "Up" button - and read a couple of other Ceroc-related articles here.)
Note that this is my list. I only include the venues that qualify under my "1 hour or less unless it's really special" rule. Even so, that makes a grand total of 20 special events (outside of regular evenings) during December, and somewhere to go every day (excluding Sunday) between Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

As this was the last regular evening at Sutton Coldfield before Christmas it had one of Betty's famous buffets. I wasn't expecting that! Even though the competition from Mike Allsop was a lot stiffer this year than in the previous two, Betty still came out top of the buffets. |

Usually the last evening, wherever it happens to be, is packed. In 2002 it was Royal Leamington Spa. In 2003 it was Wythall, and they almost exceeded the fire safety limit for Park Hall. Ceroc Daventry "Masquerade" freestyle at the Leisure Centre (Tickets £12.50 before 2004-12-23. Dress "to dazzle". Prize for best mask. Cabaret and champagne. There is a very strong possibility that this is going to be held in the big room, as the "Dirty Dancing" freestyle was earlier this year.) I have my tickets. I went around to Emma's house to get them, to make sure. ☺ Sarah proved to be on fine form. |
