The Ceroc Solihull freestyle originally scheduled for today has been moved to 2007-04-21.

Luckily, we don't have to stay at home and watch Doctor Who, because of the Ceroc Walsall freestyle at the Town Hall

Addendum: Well, it turns out that Doctor Who would have been the correct choice. Once again, we turn up to a Ceroc Midlands freestyle only to find that it has been cancelled, the doors are shut, and there's no notice whatsoever.

Several venues are closed today because they are being used as polling stations for the local council elections. These include JiveFever Coventry, and Ceroc Bromsgrove. However, Ceroc Rugby, Ceroc Northampton, and Ceroc Kidlington are all officially open. If a venue isn't mentioned here, I haven't been told about it. So double-check with your venue. After receiving reassurances from Michaella Walker of Ceroc Central that Ceroc Rugby would be open, I drove there only to find that it was being used as a polling station. It wouldn't have been bad if I were on my own. But I had brought people with me. "I've been told that Rugby is open as usual.", I had told them.

Debbie Two is organizing a Ceroc Worcester Bank Holiday Monday freestyle at the Bosa Nova Wine Bar. There will be no classes, just pure freestyle. There is free car parking at the end of the road, apparently, so one need not use the NCP car park.

I've already made prior arrangements to be at Wellingborough, however. It's a tough decision, though. I haven't done a Debbie Two event in a while. But I don't get to do Wellingborough often, either.

There's some confusion over the Utopia dates. Some are listed on the Utopia web site, but others are only listed on the Ceroc Kidderminster web site. You'll find that the Utopia web site doesn't list today, for example. There will be an event this evening. I've checked in person with Debbie Two. The confusion is caused because some of Debbie's Evesham events are ordinary Ceroc freestyles and are not under the Utopia banner.

It's also a Cinderella Night at Ceroc Halesowen this evening.

  It's not on the web site, but on the flyer it states that the evening freestyle is to be a Masquerade Ball. So it's time to dig out the mask that I almost used at the last such ball I suppose. ☺

  The presence of Mark's, Maja's, and Marie's names on the Ceroc Midlands flyer that I have for this event appears to be an error. I am reliably informed that Mark is teaching and DJing for the whole day at Pulse, and will not be whizzing up the M5 and the M6 mid-afternoon to teach at the Party in the Potteries as the flyer states. Furthermore: The Ceroc Midlands web page now states that there will be just the one workshop, by 'H'. It appears that most of the rest of the day has been cancelled since the flyer was printed.

(I was originally told just "the Black Boy Hotel". I looked and found quite a few Black Boy Hotels around the place — in Sudbury, in Caernarfon, in Newtown, and in Suffolk. There was also one in Nottingham until the 1960s. I was also originally told "dibiates uk", "artism", and "arcorns". The spelling corrections and hyperlinks are my interpretations of those. ☺ )

However, today isn't on the revised and up-to-date list of Utopia dates that I obtained directly from Debbie Two herself last month, when I noticed and asked her about an earlier error on the Ceroc Kidderminster web site, when the 2007-11-11 freestyle was listed on the wrong day. Dave Hardwick tells me that he's going. I advise telephoning Debbie Two to check.
