Well these are the first pictures in my family album and its of my Mum (Viv) and my sister (Jenny), and my Mums Husband Stephen. These are taken at Jenny's 30th Party in December '99. My Mum was born in London and my Sister in Luton (Like me). My Mum is now retired (early, lol) after working for 3 years in Saudi Arabia as a teacher, I did worry about her while she was out there because of all the problems recently. My Mum is married to Stephen who is pictured above with a beer in his hand. Stephen is a Head teacher in Saudi Arabia and is staying on for an extra year, I know my mum will miss him but I'm sure she will build up those air miles in visits, he is originally from Liverpool and is a good laugh and gets on great with all the family.

This is my Nan and Grandad on my Dad's side, before retiring they were a Landlord and landlady of their own country pub, which they ran for many years, they often go back to the village and visit the pub as they know the people that are now running it, then they sold up and moved into a flat in Luton that my Dad built them in the house next door to where he used to live, but they now have moved with the rest of the family up north to Nottinghamshire. My Dad has now retired but was a Structural Engineer for Luton Council and worked in Highway maintenance, I think he enjoyed his job really, and now has to do all the jobs he promised to do 'when I retire', they have now sold up and moved to a lovely bungalow in Derbyshire, he only lives a few miles from me so I get to visit them both quite often and he has done alot of work in my house making it the dream home I have always wanted (Thanks Dad for doing the work and thanks Brenda for letting him help me). They enjoy their trips to America and go as much as they can and clock up a fair few miles visiting every corner of a country that they love.

This is my Grandad on my Mum's side, he lived next door to the family home in London, He loved going into central London and was the best tour guide you could ever have asked to meet, he could tell you what train, bus or tube to get on to get anywhere in London, and more then likely tell you where the nearest bus stop is and what shop it is outside, we should have called him A To Z but he had more info than that book any day. He used to be in the navy and has seen the world twice over, after WW2 he stayed on for a few years to work on a Minesweeper to clear the waters to make it safe for all to travel. He has also worked for EMI records and The post office, he left that due to Heart problems and went into aluminum printing where he worked till he retired at about 70 years of age. He was knocked over by a motorbike while crossing in traffic a while back, he had to have a few operations, but came through mostly O.K. To sum up, he was great bloke that anyone would be proud to call Grandad. He passed away in March 2000, he had lived life how he wanted, he was the perfect Grandad, he would do anything for anybody, if he could he would have helped you, you will always be missed Grandad and will be in our hearts for ever, rest well xx.
